this series kinda surprised me. had no hopes of it being any good when i started watching it, and now

didn't know much about this when it popped up last week but when i saw ron livingstone was in it my

reading the blurb on tv.com before it was released, i thought the series would be dull; i was
pleasantly surprised with it though when i watched it. so i\'m looking forward to e03.
720p would be nice too :-) the first two eps were available in 720p so i wouldn\'t be surprised if
this one popped up in a few days as well.

i'm hoping for 720p releases too. i've seen episodes 1-3 at 720p elsewhere via private trackers,
but only with 1-3 seeds.
still not sure about the show however... i like the basic concept and the acting is reasonably good
for first season. the writting could use a little more polish, beta so far seems a little cheesy...
but what really concerns me is if they'll actually be able maintain interest with so few characters
and the characters locked in. there is no realistic way for them to add more characters to the ship
and ground based characters are not going to be as interesting.

i agree with jb510
the first 2 episodes worked well as a start to a miniseries (a contained story over 8 -12 episodes)
not a full series (of at least 12 episodes and then over further seasons).
they brought in "the beta" a bit too early (should have waited till at least the 3rd or 4th episode
to bring it into the story).
having a lot of unexplained accidents and happenings in space and on the ground would have been a
better story and have a bigger effect, (is it sabotage? or just a rushed program that was pushed
through and the mission was never going to last? something like "capricorn one" ). now everything is
explained away by "the beta wants it that way." you also now know the crew are all there for a
reason and are going to survive (the test of the venus suit shows this.)
anyhoo
i like it! can't wait till next week...
now what ever happened to virtuality? both of them on the box would have been great...

bleh. thats the end of this for me. its just desperate housewives in space, garbage in a foil
wrapper. alien/artifact thing is boring and been done before. plus we won't be using rocket
propulsion in 2052, and i would be thoroughly surprised if we did have some sort of permanent mars
base. not to mention all the little physics lapses, why do the networks refuse to listen to/hire
competent science advisers?

this kinda reminds me of a poor man's lost, but they tell you more here so it's not annoying.
i agree with the first post, walked into this title with no knowledge of it but was taken by it's
solid writing and stunning effects. i will be following this show for some time.
