downloading.

anyone know if the non-720p or non-hr releases are going to show up here? for
those of us who are looking for a quicker recap of stuff we missed it'd be great
to not have to wait for a 1 gb or 700 mb file to download. also, they're vtv
releases so i'm confused why the don't show up here anyways...

is hdtv higher quality than dvd rips?
[#11926] Written by: butcheer [16/01/2007, 00:07]
shoptroll- as far as 350mb rips are concerned, there is no visible difference
between hdtv rips and dvd rips.

the dvd and regular releases such as the lol, or xor releases, will be
comparable and depending on the source of the tv rip maybe a slight bit below
dvd quality.

the dvd and 720p releases are higher quality then dvd. 720p is hd.

i prefer the 350 mb version as it takes less time to download...

does any one wanna know if eztv will post the 350mb version for the rest of
the season???

i'm waiting for the 720p release of this episode. having been impressed by hr
for quite a while i can clearly see that 720p is way better now.
there are a few hr releases that look as impressive as 720p, but that's often
because of some post processing applied to them. torchwood looks very sharp in
hr.

does anybody here bother reading????

as has been stated ad nauseum the 350mb releases were made available over a week
ago, on january 7th.

honestly, a tiny little bit of looking around yourselves sometimes can pay off
before asking the same question over and over again. do a search or be happy
with what you get - eztv provide a great service here for many ppl who would
otherwise be waiting for these tv shows for 6-months to a year.

i am waiting for it as well, simply because my computer can now handle 720p h264
rips with the upgrades to the mplayer source code over the past few months

to be fair i think the question could be interpreted either way. so yes i did
bother reading the post

i can see how you could interpret the way you did too, so fair enough.

i would also say it'd be a pretty fair assumption that 350mb releases will be
made available as a matter of course - the hr.hdtv and 720p releases are and
have always been optional. another topic that has been discussed ad-nauseum
around here lately.

as mods have said, 350mb releases aren't going to go away any time soon.
