quick question. is this show as crushingly depressing this season as the last one?

i didn't start watching it until season 3.

despite liking some/many of the characters i just couldn't take the "sad for
the sake of drama" storylines last season. it's a well made show and all, i
just don't need that much sad in my tv.

also please forgive the user name. stupid bmn account.

i dunno...imho seasons 2 and 3 were pretty sucky, season 1 is still the best as
far as themes/ drama.
season 4 is so far really good...considering how season 3 ended, at first i
thought 'what a crap resolution to the cliffhanger', but then again, look at the
crap resolution to the marina situation at the start of season 2...that took me
a few episodes to work out what the hell was going on.

anywhos, in direct response to your question: yeah, i'd say the entire show has
the sads. but i like that. personally i don't think there is *enough* well
written, well acted, well directed drama with occassional spikes of humour out
there. since six feet under, i'd say this is probably a close second for my most
favourite drama.

characters are so far shittin' me silly in this season though, but then again i
guess they kinda always have (just like six feet under - you just can't really
find it in you to unconditionally like any of the characters). but then, again
imho, that's a hallmark of solid, quality drama.

anyways, sorry for the rant.

(btw, quality is goooood!)
thanks eztv you da man *sexes eztv*...wow i haven't done that since...uhm...i
was 16.

i need desperate help!
i'm a newbie at this and i don't how to extract these files so i can watch it. i'm using mac and most of
the post refers for win users. anyone can give me a hand at this? there is a .nfo file and a .sfv file.

this is an avi file and they don't need "extracting". what you need is a
codec which will allow it to be played.

sorry, i don't know much about mac. i watch these things on windows media
player and sometimes on vlc player. i'm not sure whether there is a vlc
player for macs.

i'm a mac user, and vlc or quicktime player will both work. i prefer qtp as i'm having problems with vlc.
when trying to go forward och backwards, it sometimes just quits. i only use it if for some reason it won't
work with qtp.
enjoy! this is great show. : )

i thought you needed to download the xvid codec to watch it in quicktime?
anyways, i use mplayer. always plays the files fine, & it's easier to rewind a
step than it is in quicktime, imo. if your computer is too slow to handle
whatever you're watching, try vlc instead.

not sure which torrent you're talking about, though. this one doesn't have an
.nfo & .sfv. you can safely ignore both of those files. the .nfo file is a
text file & the .sfv is a file you can use to make sure the files doewnloaded
correctly. .sfv files are unnecessary & redundant in torrents, though, because
your torrent client already rechecks the file against the hash in the .torrent file.
