why do people upload stuff with no description?

this is either a documentary from the national geographic channel about the possibility of cannibalism
continuing in remote tribes in the 21st century, or a documentary about an island to which stalin sent a
few thousand people who eventually resorted to cannibalism.

i'm pretty sure it's this one:

"in 1933 stalin organizes a great "cleansing" of moscow and leningrad of all the citizens deemed a
social nuisance. this film recounts the untold story of these 6000 "unwanted", sent to nazino, a
lost island in the middle of siberia. deported with no food, clothes or tools, these poor men, women
and children suffered the torture of hunger until they had no choice but to devour each other... an
unbelievable and terrible story that plays like a thriller and with a tension that lasts until the end."

. . . don't think it's something i could stomach easily....

another possibility (that seems to fit the duration, but the download is very slow so i won't know for a
while). the following is from imdb:

cannibal island (1956)
though the release date says 1956, this film consists mostly of footage from a 1931 documentary called
"gow the killer." it was the first sound film to deal with cannibalism, as it documented the social life and
customs of primitive tribes that in fact did engage in cannibalism.

cannibal island (2013)
in an apocalyptic turn of events a previously unknown island in the south pacific has gone rogue and is heading to the
mainland.... to feed. starring bruce campbell and shannon tweed.

lol - would you rather have no download, or one with a bad/no description?
[#195299] Written by: rogue88 [14/02/2013, 22:06]
how am i to decide if i want to download it if it has no description? so frankly, yes, i'd rather it wasn't
uploaded at all. download cancelled.

[st]cannibal island
history documentary hosted by piers gibbon,
published by national geographic in 2011 - english narration

cannibal island it may seem like the stuff of horror movies and history books but, in the deepest
jungles of papua new guinea, cannibal island shows that cannibalism is more than just a slice of
gruesome folklore. eager to separate fact from fiction, british writer and explorer, piers gibbon
ventures into some of the remotest areas of this hugely diverse nation, where he comes face to face
with an array of remarkable individuals. with no electricity or running water and a three day trek to the
nearest telephone, the traditional tribal way of life has remained largely untouched - but the big
question is, has cannibalism made it into the 21st century? in his search for an answer, piers finds
himself chatting with locals who are surprisingly candid about their cannibal past. with no apparent
taboo over the issue, he is able to gather first-hand accounts of the killing and eating of fellow human
beings suspected of being witches. piers also encounters an ageing missionary who has lived among
the villagers for nearly 40 years, and can recall a time when cannibalism was commonplace. but does it
still go on today?

don't tell me to "be more grateful" or to "stfu".

i'm just suggesting that the uploader could have posted the description to save everyone the hassle of
looking it up. how many people have had to look for a description in the last 5 1/2 hours? how many
happened on the correct one?

at any rate, the resolution is 1280x720 (hence "720p"), the size is 2.02gb, and the duration is 1h 16m, so
it looks like you (and how many others?) wasted your 3 minutes.

my bad, i copied the wrong information.
easily remedied.
no need to be hostile.
in fact, you could have used the sites
i listed, and shared the correct information.

i'm gathering the correct info now.
thank you for pointing it out.

i like films where they eat eachother... o.o ... lol

the film.. alive.. was brilliant, also based on a true story.

update: this documentry was so sad.. it shows truley how leaders of any nation
could really be idiots if they choose to be, good enough for the rogues that deserved
to be there but all those innocent people sent there for just not having their papers
or just popping to the local shop for food or whatever, so sad. i think this would make
an awsome movie, aslong as it was written properly, like schindler's list, now that was
an awesomly powerful and moving film.

i volunteer a min. of 20 hours per week setting up and updating (non mvg) show information pages.
other eztv & mvgroup members spend even more time capping and torrenting.
show some respect.
