you've made my day. thanks from newcastle, australia. thank you eztv for
enabling us australians to get this. i don't think we have even started s3
here yet.

thanks from tasmania australia. the last few episodes have been really boring.
ron moore, read this .... we want cylons, we want action, i'm tired of hearing
that its coming........ since that silly boxing episode nothing has happened.
still a brilliant show but come on, siding with gias after what he did to them
on new caprica is a joke.

i'm hoping this episode fixes things up.

thanks eztv you always deliver the goods without fail....

thanks for the upload from new zealand, we need a sci-fi channel cause we get
nada of this stuff on tv here. by the way the show has been slow for a few
episodes but i guess thats how you build up to the good stuff.. it cant be
full on all the time.

speak for yourself... ever hear of maintaining quality, being experimental,
being artistic, the calm before the storm, finding a balance... watchwords you
may want to learn... there hasn't been a 'boring' episode yet

thanks eztv, from melbourne, australia

ron moore, don't pay attention to the action-addicted fans out there.
bsg is a scifi show containing more than just action.

ofcourse we want cylons, space-battles (hand of god), dramatic action (the
farm) etcetera, but in order for those moments to have the impact it should
carry one must build up to it.

take starbuck. if we all didn't go through her dramatic love-triangles and
selfdestructive behaviour, episodes like "you can't go home again" wouldn't
have that x factor we are all enjoying so much.

i just hope scifi isn't going to cancel the entire show just because ratings
are a bit disappointing. after all .. the entire worlds watches the show ...
but only a few watch it actually while airing.

thnx. from holland, where the show never made it to tv
once the entire show is out on dvd in some collectable fashion, i'll buy it.

yeah, i agree. they really need to pull their scripting socks up and get back to
some more gritty plot lines, intricate sub-plots and suspenseful intrigue. and
some full on action and space battles wouldn't go astray!

the cyclons have lost all there mystery and menace. they're pitiful! talk about
a toothless tiger. at the beginning of every show it says "they have a plan"...
ooooo... i really wonder what that plan is, coz right now they're a pack of lost
and deranged girlie-bots without a clue about what they want or who they are.

the show has lost it's edge and it's driving force. they need to bring back the
conflict and the warring motivation behind both the cylons and the humans. get
it back on track and redefine what made the show so awesome!

it used to be like the west wing in space - engrossing acting and scripts, with
a bit of action to keep us on the edge of our seats. now it's more like days of
our lives in space - yawn!!!

please!!! give us some quality bsg with heaps of special effects and action!!!

you guys make all valid points about expanding the storyline and
fleshing out characters, but what made this show great was the sci-fi action.
since this show is now airing at 10pm/est most of the ratings that it once
received has been deminished, and it doesn't help it when there are no space
battles in a long time. if they dont come back to the original formula that
they started with - i predict this great show will not be renewed for another
season.

i'm in totall agreement that there needs to be more space dogfights and
special effects that has hooked anyone who is a fan. however, if it eases
your mind, scifi has signed on for a season 4:

feb. 13, 2007
sci fi has renewed battlestar galactica for a fourth season, commissioning a
minimum of 13 more episodes of "the best show on television." production will
resume this summer with an eye toward a january 2008 season premiere.

im sure the writers also \"have a plan\" dont panic!! even though i said it
was
slow i have totally enjoyed each episode. some have been non eventful but just
at the end they twist you around with the power of the completetd story, we
also need the character development.. but the mid season break has broken much
of the continuity and im guessing the best way through that would have been to
have some viper action early on to get things going again. this show is
amazing and for the record the show\'s dvd\'s are worth picking up as you get
much better resolution and look sweet in true 16:9.
by the way praxis i really really hope you are wrong and im sure you wont mind
me saying.. :-)

ps, its not really a battlestar atm, for the next eps i see it as a floating
courtroom. judge judy will make boltar hang! -

i think you'll both find that the series has already been renewed for a fourth
series with at least 13 episodes with a premiere in jan 2008.

read it here:
scifi.com/battlestar/news/

the whole reason bsg was groundbreaking was because it moved beyond techno-scifi
and action for the sake of it towards comment on current affairs and genuine
human problems in an accessible way... keep that way! if you are just after
action there are far better places to get it... for plot, characters, and a bit
of thought there's nothing better than bsg!
[#20258] Written by: elessar777 [05/03/2007, 11:46]
i absolutely love bsg! one thing annoys me - the sound quality- there is always
this annoying buzz in teh background - i know it's not my equipment or pc as
other vids don't have this problem.

is this due to whoever is copying the files or is the sound that bad to begin with?

you're wrong on both counts.

action was never what made this a great show. what makes it great is the depth
of the characters, the acting, the unexpected, all the intricate details that
relate to our world that touch us on a deeply human level. sure i love action,
but without character attachment you wouldn't care who lived or who
died...perhaps it's all about perception but i find i get involved and care
about the characters, even minor ones....like when billy died....that was kind
of sad (to name but one)

the people that truly appreciate what this show brings to us are not looking for
"space battles" we want character depth, feelings, emotion, things that touch
us inside.

just my 10cents worth :-)
