how funny. i had a texas instruments ti-99/4a too. which was released in late 1979 at a price of $1150 and near the end when it went out of business they could be purchased for around $100 it was my first computer. 256 bytes "scratchpad" ram 16 kb vdp (graphics ram) 3.0 mhz cpu with the optional ti-99/4 'peb' peripheral expansion box with a 5 1/4 floppy drive installed...the only method of saving, other than using a standard audio cassette player to record. hard drives were still way too expensive for home users. |
