be the early years and i can see how they're building up the suspense with the
whole unpure water of mongo... i guess that's where he's going to end up
inhaling hard water vapors and finally get his ability.

which undergoes some electrical accident.
the whole parallel world concept is pretty interesting too. and where is
batman?!?! an entire episode with the bird people and we don't even get to see
batman!! must have been a licensing issue.
oh yeah, and i had no idea that dr. doom was a deformed freak on a segwey!!!

on the whole, i don't really like this new spin they're doing with an old comic
favorite of mine.
i guess this is the new style for shows focusing on the early years of
superheroes. i felt the same way when i watched the first season of smallville.

there are a lot of bad shows on right now, but once in a while, if your lucky,
you will find a show so terrible it makes humanity turn on itself. 11 episodes
in, and flash gordon has sparked animosity and hatred the likes i haven't
witnessed in some years.

flash. just like in smallville where clark kent doesn't have the power to
travel backwards in time, flash doesn't have the power of speed. duh!
my guess is that he's going to get his powers when he infiltrates ming water
processing plant and has an "accident" with the mystical heavy-water of mongo
but that's probably not going to happen until season 2 or 3.
also, i heard a rumor that johnny quest and hadji are going to start making a
guest appearances on the show and there's going to be a back-story involving
the bird men of mongo! i can't wait! sim sim salabim!

have to ...suck my balls. that's right. you heard that right. but be warned, i

as someone else mentioned above, flash gordon is not supposed to have super
powers. for a clue to this, you can listen to the queen song "flash" from the
movie based on the same character:
"just a man
with a man's courage
nothing but a man
but he can never fail
no-one but the pure at heart
may find the golden grail ....."
so, "just a man"... "nothing but a man". i'm watching it, but i can't explain
why. the acting is pretty awful, the music cheesy, and i know he's not going to
get any super powers, and if he does, its totally against the way the character
was written in the first place.
will i stop watching? i have no idea. if it gets any worse then probably.
