cant wait to get my hands on this one.

too bad the cw is thinking of replacing supernatural's time slot (well the whole
show actually) with some new crapped called "reaper".

they will only be airing 4 more episodes of supernatural and then its back on
hiatus mode once again. no one knows for how long though.

hopefully supernatural doesn't get canceled all together.

if the strike ends very soon then the rest of the season will be taped and aired
in it's regular spot but if the strike continues then after the last 3 episodes
(after tonights) airs then reaper will take over the thursday time slot until
the strike ends. cw is doing this because supernatural is an established show
(on it's 3rd season) with a loyal fanbase and has it's own strong ratings up
against thursday night heavy hitters (csi, lost, etc) but, once the strike is
over and the season is on again then supernatural will be back in it's regular
spot or it could very likely be taking over a sunday spot (which is one of cw's
"sweet spots"). reaper is only being put in supernatural's spot because reaper
has low rating and cw doesn't want to scrap the show so by putting it in an
established spot where people are going to be looking for a "supernatural show",
which reaper is sorta on those lines, they might watch it for lack of anything
better and just maybe they will like it enough that after the strike is over and
reaper is put back in it's own time slot then people might follow it and keep
watching. it's all about the ratings. if they canceled supernatural they'd be
losing a lot of their loyal watchers and with this being smallvilles last season
they can't count on that show to bring in the sponsor money and truthfully,
everything on the cw besides supernatural is mindless crap.

so supernatural isn't getting canceled no worries

actually, that's not really true at all. the show is down a good 400k viewers compared to last season
(roughly) and isn't even close to its early season one ratings. it's rating better than reaper, but not by
that much, and its ratings are only going to trail off further, so the cw probably has more faith in
reaper right now since many shows grow in their second season, whereas supernatural almost
definitely won't improve.

i'm not sure about all that at all. reaper's fanbase is significantly smaller
than supernaturals and supernatural is a solid rater on thursdays when it's up
against csi and lost and other hard hitters. compared to reaper's competition.
it's sorta laughable. i think we should all just sit tight and see what
happens.. i'm very very optimistic about supernatural's future, but who knows
right? everything is pointing towards the good and everyone has been very
positive with what's to come. (kripke & co) so lets cross our fingers!

well, reaper was up against house earlier in the season. there's probably a good chance both shows will
survive though, especially with smallville ending fairly soon (unless they make a s08 because they couldn't
complete s07).
