The CW picks up Filthy Rich Girls, The Game renewed Hells Kitchen US Login to vote
the world’s most famous zip code is officially moving to the cw.

as expected, the netlet’s “beverly hills 90210” redux has earned a firm series order. that made for three freshman primetime pickups sunday from the cw.

besides “90210,” the cw also gave a series order to “surviving the filthy rich,” the drama formerly known as “how to teach filthy rich girls,” as well as to the reality entry “stylista,” from tyra banks and ken mok.

also, bubble comedy “the game” got a greenlight for another year. still up in the air: quirky hour-long “reaper.”

as part of the “90210” pickup, jeff judah and gabe sachs are close to joining the skein as showrunners and exec producers. they fill the void originally held by rob thomas, who departed due to other commitments.

judah and sachs have been busy rewriting the pilot, which hasn’t yet been shot.

news also comes soon after jennie garth became the first original “90210” cast member to join the new series (in a recurring role).

cbs paramount network tv is behind the show.

cast includes lori loughlin, jessica walter, dustin milligan, michael steger, jessica stroup, ryan eggold, shenae grimes and annalynne mccord.

meanwhile, “surviving the filthy rich,” from warner bros. tv, also comes from alloy entertainment (which holds the rights to book series “how to teach filthy rich girls”).

cw is hoping lightning will strike twice, as its signature “gossip girls” comes from another alloy book series.

rina mimoun exec produces “filthy rich,” which revolves around a young woman who takes a job as a tutor to rich teen sisters in palm beach.

as for “stylista,” show follows fashion fans as they compete for a job at elle magazine. banks and mok are exec producers with eli holzman, desiree gruber and jane cha.

mok’s 10 by 10 ent., banks’ bankable shingle and magic molehill produce with warner horizon.

then there’s “the game,” which enters its third season this fall. “girlfriends” spinoff comes from cbs paramount network tv. “the game” will likely be paired with “everybody hates chris” on the cw’s new friday sked, or so speculation goes.
