no, i haven't given up yet. just haven't had anything to say. plus there's
only 2 weeks left till xmas, so i'm rather busy with that and wrapping things
up at kids school/playgroup.

what's the story? everybody seems on the move this xmas. imzadi, numaris.
who's next?

and yes, we will miss you imzadi. but i'm sure your pc will be one of the
first things that gets connected, so i'm sure it won't be for long

haven't seen any of eureka yet. it's on my list to watch. a kind friend has
my portable hdd, and may put it on if she can be bothered. mind you, i
wouldn't be surprised if it comes back empty. i must admit that i did ask for
alot of shows, and she's moving interstate soon, so it will be my last chance
to get them from her. but either way, i'm grateful for whatever she does give
me. it will be very sad to see her and her family go. (and i don't mean
just 'cause of the shows either!!)

now i'm off to watch the first eps of dexter, seeing everybody keeps raving
about it!!

well, i just watch e01 of dexter. very interesting!!
i really liked him in six feet under. mind you, he seems to have lost a heap
of weight, or is that just my imagination?
and what is this re-occuring theme of him talking to himself in shows?? it
does look good though. very intriguing.

also a thought that
has come up on occasion, why is it we are looking for inteligent life 'out
there'? we should be looking for some intelligent life on earth that those 'out
there' would want to converse with... just a thought

this is the best statement that you have come up with to date. (i am being
quite serious, actually. don't laugh.)

the concept behind many sci-fi shows, where the theory is that 'they' are
waiting till we are ready/mature enough is quite right. just look at the
constant battles we have with each other, be it either within our own planet,
or our own countries. how could we possibly be ready as a civilisation as a
whole to interact civilly with an 'alien' race if we can't do it with ourselves?

mazette, i couldn't tell you about moonlight (or blood ties for that matter).
i do have it, but i now tend to watch seasons once i have it in it's entirety.
i also have all of regenesis. thought that would be good, from all the people
raving about it. haven't looked into durham county, but i think i probably
have enough to keep me going for a year!!!

a couple of days ago, someone posted a thread about axxo releases. apart from
mininova, a couple of people mentioned that he was posting to another site.
did anyone catch the name of the site, and any info about the site would be
appreciated.

on a side note, since demonoid is down (i'm still hopeful that it will be
resurrected) where are you guys going for general stuff? and how do you get
into these sites? what sites are on par with demonoid?

thanks aydin. but it's very strange that he hasn't upped anything for a couple
of months. hope everything is alright.

on a cheeky note, i've been running around like a mad hatter over the last
couple of weeks getting ready for the xmas/summer holidays. i'm driving down
the road and what pops into my head??? kevin bloody wilson. it's time
for 'santa claus you ----'!!! and what's really sad, i can still recite
the whole song off by heart, even after 20 years!! at least it put a great big
smile on my face (my apologies for the non-aussie readers)

i can't say for sure, 'cause i don't use rss, but i would assume that if you
set up the scheduler for the times you want that's when it will run. i'm
assuming that the rss feed will only put the files there to be downloaded, and
lay waiting till the scheduler says it can get to it.

sorry to burst your bubble, but not even close! but i have charm to make up
for it (i wish!)

do i have to play moderator here??? (not that i mind)

but i don't recall hearing anything obscene from imzadi.

and i don't see zet with a violent temper. i just think he is very strong in
his beliefs, and he tries to get his point across with extreme examples.

sorry imzadi, i did misunderstand. and i agree totally.
funny enough, that's my problem too, i just try and keep it in check when i
type! i wish i could do the same when i talk if i had a dollar for every
time i was told that the first words out of my kids mouth would be an
expletive, i'd be a very rich woman. luckily (for me), that never happened! it
took a while for anything like that to come out of their gorgeous little
mouths, and it was very short lived!

on a side note, i just noticed something unusual with utorrent. the time
elapsed only goes up to about 9 weeks. then it turns into infinity. am i the
only one that keeps torrents running for that long? not all of them, of
course. just the ones that need seeds.

oh, and ven, thanks heaps for the link. i'm busy now getting stuff to occupy
the ferrels during the holidays

woo hoo!! i think we're nearly complete then!!
[#72445] Written by: aussiemadmum [16/12/2007, 08:26]
bloody hell! i think i finally learned (or is it learnt??) today that i should
act my age. my sister-in-law works at an indoor kids play centre, and seeing
as i was going over to see my nephews before xmas (seeing as we are going
interstate), we took all the kids there to have some fun. well me, dummy,
decided to go down the slides. now it's not as crazy as it sounds, it's
actually quite fun, and i've done it before. but this time i jarred my ankle
on one of them, and now i have a sprained ankle. i'm in bloody agony!!!
[#72727] Written by: aussiemadmum [18/12/2007, 14:31]
can you throw some of that luck my way?????

i've had nothing but bad in the last couple of days. first the ankle on sunday
(which is much better, thanks for asking), then a bout of gastro on tuesday,
then somehow i have managed to injure my knuckle also. can't move the bloody
thing. so hand is bandaged up to try and avoid severe pain when i move it. i
forgot how hard it was to type with fingers, one by one. can't even use the
mouse properly!

they say bad luck comes in threes. please tell me this is it!!!!!!
