funny man review: fringe.

jj abrams returns with his latest offering, fringe. funny man was horribly
mislead by a noob who told funny man that this was a series about hair cuts, it
is not. the premise of this one is all about science. in the pilot viewers are
treated to action, romance and one hell of a plot twist at the end. comedy
interludes come compliments of madcap scientist dr. bishop. bishop's science
gags are about as lame as it gets, but funny man admits he found his signature
dance routine infectious but tricky. however, if this is the fringe, joshua
jackson is the mullet. funny man is convinced jackson's inclusion was merely to
add numbers to abrams' notorious "jj club", as jackson's famous wooden acting
flies on all cylinders once again and nearly ruins the entire show. aside from
this, the show has great promise for the future, and funny man will be tuning in
each week.

7/10 - let's hope this particular fringe doesn't get chopped.

about this thread and after reading through it i am here to ask funny man if

funny man review: generation kill

the writers of funny man's favorite show, the wire, return with a 7-part
mini-series - "generation: kill!". set in iraq, the series follows the
adventures of a rolling stone reporter (beecher from the occasionally hilarious
oz) as he tags along with a team of recon marines. the gags are subtle but
present, and the chilling reality of war is delivered in an overwhelming
fashion. a lot of familiar faces appear here, everyone from gary from "only
fools and horses" to some of funny man's old friends from the wire. the
characters are diverse enough to hold funny man's interest, however funny man
knows it is just a matter of time before the bloodbath ensues.

8/10 - hilarity with a sting in the tail.

i am yet to watch the wire or g:k, but i hear excellent reviews of the wire,
and reasonable reviews of this. i'll definately have to start watching them
soon.

a warning about watching the wire though - once you\'ve seen the show, 95% of all
other tv shows will fall under the category of garbage....that\'s how good it is.

funny man review: east bound and down.

the forthcoming fall tv schedule continues to impress funny man, this time in
the form of hbo's new comedy east bound and down. the show tells the tale of
former sports legend, kenny powers, and his return to his hometown to take up a
job as a sports coach in the local school. powers' still lives in a world where
he is king, but unbeknown to him, he is the sole occupant of this world. powers
has little regard for anyone else and can be a controversial man at times. the
result is a hilarious show with a lead character funny man will love to hate.
the show reminded funny man of curb your enthusiasm, except in this case the
show is actually funny and not annoying, pointless and forced like curb your
enthusiasm. funny man tips this one for the top.

9/10 - "powers" to the people.

final funny man review of the season: fear itself.

funny man often wonders about the garbage they fill the airwaves with during the
summer months as we all play the waiting game for the proper shows to return.
fear itself is a boring show that has no point to it at all. each week a new
horror story is played out - horror stories the viewer has probably heard a
million times already. aside from a few notable cameos (erik roberts, the
suicide girl from californication, michael ironside) this is a waste of time.

4/10 - snorefest.

well funny man fans, this season of reviews has come to an end. this has been a
great season of reviews and it would not have been half as good if it were not
for you, the funny man fans, who continue to show funny man respect and love
through countless mails and pms. funny man has some vacation taking to do then
it's back to business. funny man hopes to continue his award winning and loved
reviews thread in the fall right here on eztv. funny man smelt a hoax with that
admin post a while back, so if it is genuine just pm fm. ok fans, enjoy the rest
of the summer and take care of yourselves.
