omg they killed her. what\'s up with that.....she has a thing or two still to do
or is she one of the five? :&hey action does not make a series, it is about the
cast and how they all evolve, but killing kara that sucks!

ah crap, bsg looks like it's going down the metaphorical toilet, maybe the sfx
are too expensive, maybe the writers lack imagination, maybe the cylon
'truceishness' was a mistake but i can watch 10 other shows with deeper
characterization and plenty of trauma, alcoholism and self-righteousness. i
loved it don't get me wrong but it's not the same show anymore, the most
interesting thing now for me is wondering whether the coming ep is going to be a
reversion to the bsg of old, a fight for life in the vast unknown against
ridiculous odds, with a 'rag tag' fleet of semi-functional ships and kit.
problem is i've been wondering that now for 4 eps. the series is dying and if
it's not given a jolt soon i'm done with it.

ps. appreciate the upping of the eps regardless, always have, always will, respect.

there is always this annoying buzz in teh background - i know it\'s not
my equipment or pc as other vids don\'t have this problem.

is this due to whoever is copying the files or is the sound that bad to begin
with?

ws.dsr.xvid-orenji:

the title alleges widescreen digital stream rip. if dsr is true, then the
headend at the provider(cable or satellite), or perhaps scifi itself is passing
unbalanced analog audio at some point, and/or they have a ground loop. it\'s
obvious that the sound is rather hamfistedly processed: the compression ratio is
so high that the hum at the end of the titles is clearly audible.

another possibility is the capper\'s machine, because i haven\'t heard this 60
hz hum from other groups. it _sounds like_ the audio was ripped through a tv,
vcr, cable or satellite box with line out, using unbalanced analog audio cables,
and/or there\'s a ground loop, or shielding problem, in the system.

i tried with winamp and the shibach parametric eq plugin to set up a 60hz, 120hz
and 240hz very narrow notch filters. no joy. an fft-based noise reduction
plugin will likely work: a test with audacity's noise reduction worked well.
